HI, I'M ROB

I am a portraitist based in the Pacific Northwest. My love of photography began with my first “serious” camera, the venerable Pentax K1000. That camera launched a love affair with the art and science of photography, a love for creating images that capture a moment, a feeling, portraits that shows truth.

I specialize in pet portraiture,  those furry, scaly, feathery members of our families. I have a deep affinity for and love of the creatures we invite into our homes, our lives, and our hearts. We love and care for them almost as much as they love and care for us. It is my privilege to capture and preserve that love.

I bring that same passion to creating individual and family portraits. Whether you need a centerpiece for the family photo wall, a mantlepiece memory, an eye-grabber for the senior yearbook, or the best you for the world at large, we will work together to bring it to life.

I work in both film and digital mediums, color and black and white. I focus primarily on printed images. Sharing digital images is wonderful, but nothing can compare with sitting down on the couch with loved ones to go through an album of beautiful memories or being able to glance back in time every day as you move through your home. There is just something so special, tactile and visceral about the printed image. Nothing else can compare.

I take the time to get to know every client, working from a belief that we are all unique, all beautiful. My goal is to have that shine through in every image I create for you.
